Harper Lee, author of “To Kill a Mockingbird,” has died, al.com is reporting.

She was 89. She died in her hometown of Monroeville, Alabama.

Nelle Harper Lee won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1961 for her book.



Her second book, “Go Set a Watchman,” was published in 2015.
