NEW YORK (AP) - A construction worker has died after falling from scaffolding at a New York City work site.

Police say 59-year-old Wilfredo Enriques suffered head trauma when he fell Friday morning from a building under construction in Brooklyn.

He was pronounced dead at Woodhull Hospital.

The building is part of the redevelopment of the closed Domino Sugar factory in Williamsburg.

The New York Post reports (https://nyp.st/2gl8fYv) that Enriques worked for PG Products of New York, a subcontractor in charge of installing the facade and windows at the job site.

The city Department of Buildings is investigating the death. PG Products CEO John Gibney said the company is cooperating with the investigation.
