Pedestrian, 19, dies after SUV hits him, flees scene

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Authorities say a 19-year-old pedestrian died after he was struck by an SUV that fled the scene in Bridgeport.

Police say Ismael Colon, of Bridgeport, was hit at an intersection just before 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Colon suffered head and brain trauma. He was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital, where he died.

Police are seeking information from anyone who witnessed the incident.
