HOBBS, N.M. (AP) - Police say a Hobbs man was fatally shot by his uncle during a family dispute.

Michael Johnson, 49, of Hobbs was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder in Saturday’s shooting death of Zachariah Fields, 31.

Fields died at the shooting scene.



Johnson is being held on a $50,000 bond.

It’s unknown whether Johnson has an attorney.
