GORHAM, N.H. (AP) - Visitors to New Hampshire’s Wildcat Ski Area can learn about history and the environment while they make their way down the slopes this winter.
The U.S. Forest Service is offering a “Ski with a Ranger” program. Beginning on Saturday, Jan. 14, skiers and snowboarders can ski or ride alongside Forest Service rangers for guided, interpretive tours. The program is free, but participants must have already purchased a lift ticket for the ski area.
The program will be offered at 10:30 a.m. every Saturday morning through February. Participants must have at least novice skiing ability, and officials recommend that they be at least 8 years old.
Wildcat Ski Area is located on the White Mountain National Forest.
