PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police have identified a motorcyclist who was killed when a pickup turned in front of him and say the truck driver apparently wasn’t impaired.

Police spokeswoman Sgt. Mercedes Fortune says the man killed in the Friday night accident in northwest Phoenix was 42-year-old Joseph Martorelli.

Martorelli’s motorcycle was hit when the 65-year-old woman driving the pickup made a left turn in front of him at the intersection of Union Hills Drive and 51st Avenue.

The truck driver suffered serious injuries.
