BIDDEFORD, Maine (AP) - The band director at Biddeford Middle School has received a national award.
Amy Delorge has been named Music Educator of the Year by Music & Arts, a nationwide retailer that provides instruments to many public school bands.
She was among 2,700 instructors considered for the national honor.
The award recognizes music teachers for their outstanding achievement in music education. It was announced earlier this month at the Chicago Midwest International Band Clinic.
