WASHINGTON (AP) - D.C. police have charged a woman in the death of her 1-month-old son.

D.C. fire and EMS personnel were called to a home in northeast Washington in July for a report of an unconscious child. They transported the infant, Christopher Antonio Conley Jr., to a hospital, where he died a few days later.

Last week, police say the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be blunt neck and head trauma and ruled the infant’s death a homicide.

The infant’s mother, 26-year-old Deana Debrow-Conley, was arrested in Philadelphia on Tuesday and police say she has been charged with first-degree felony murder.
