On the court, Shaquille O’Neal was a no-nonsense guy. Off the court, he was generally a bit of a goofball.

In his current career as a basketball analyst for TNT, O’Neal mixes a bit of his on-court and off-court personas.

During the halftime segment of Thursday night’s Mavericks-Lakers game, O’Neal complained that a light was shining too bright in his eyes. Instead of simply turning them off, O’Neal used his 7-foot-1 stature to just break the light. As a result, he sat on set in complete darkness.

As expected, his fellow analysts ragged on O’Neal for his silly move, though Charles Barkley quipped that O’Neal should have broken the televisions showing the 10-23 Mavericks taking on the 12-24 Lakers.
