NEW YORK (AP) - Officials say Olivia and Ethan were the most popular baby names in New York City last year.

Olivia came from the number three spot to overtake Sophia, which had been the city’s number one girl’s name since 2012. Ethan held on for the second year in a row as the number one boy’s name.

Health Department officials announced Wednesday that birth certificate records show 773 Ethans and 595 Olivias were born in New York City in 2015.

Behind Sophia, Emma and Mia tied for third place while Liam (LEE’-uhm) and Noah ranked second and third in the boy’s category.
