RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - A 43-year-old woman was fatally struck as she crossed a Raleigh road.

Raleigh police say in a release that a car struck the pedestrian about 6 p.m. Tuesday. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The car’s driver, a 62-year-old female, was not injured. Police say it was not a hit and run, as the driver stayed after the collision.



Police have not yet identified her or the woman killed.

The investigation continues. No charges have been filed.
