SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The Utah Highway Patrol says it responded to more than 500 accidents on snowy, frozen roads along the Wasatch Front over the holiday weekend.

UHP says that from Saturday evening through Monday evening, it responded to 76 crashes where someone was injured, including a fatal crash. There were another 320 crashes were property was damaged and 136 slide offs involving no injuries or damage.

Those include totals from Davis, Salt Lake, Utah and Weber Counties, which received 7 inches of snow or more in some places.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/2inBFma) that last year when Christmas was on a Friday, troopers saw over a two-day period about 224 crashes.
