Man struck and killed by vehicle in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Authorities say a 70-year-old pedestrian has been struck and killed by a vehicle in New Orleans.

NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports (https://bit.ly/2idmQp6 ) that the man’s death was reported around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

New Orleans police said preliminary information is that an unknown vehicle hit the man at 10:30 p.m. Monday.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he died. His name hasn’t been released.

Few other details were immediately available early Tuesday.
