BOISE, Idaho (AP) - The cause of a deadly Boise fire likely won’t be announced until early 2017.
Boise Fire Department Tammy Barry tells the Idaho Statesman (https://bit.ly/2hoOdNq ) that investigators are awaiting results from toxicology tests of the woman who died in the Dec. 10 fire, and that could take another two or three weeks.
The woman, 45-year-old Wendy Comfort, lived on the third floor of a 24-unit building that burned. Five other people were injured in the blaze - four residents and a firefighter.
Damage to electrical equipment rendered the complex unlivable and 24 families were forced to leave. Police say three apartments have since been burglarized.
