LOWELL, Mass. (AP) - Massachusetts State Police say a 39-year-old man from Maine was struck and killed by a pickup truck on Interstate 495 in Lowell.
Police say the truck was traveling southbound when it hit a pedestrian, Lawrence Perham of Bradford, Maine, around 3:20 a.m. Saturday. They say Perham was in the roadway’s second travel lane. His car was found in the breakdown lane.
The pickup driver, a 61-year-old Chelmsford man, was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
An investigation is continuing.
