PHOENIX (AP) - A Phoenix police officer who fatally shot a dog that bit him is recovering from a leg wound.

Officers were responding to a call Thursday night when a person’s dog charged and bit the officer, who opened fire.

Tests will determine whether the dog has rabies.



No arrests were made.
