PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police say a man found gunned down in a vehicle was definitely targeted and shot several times as close range in the head and chest.

Investigators haven’t released the name of the victim in the shooting which was reported about 1 a.m. Wednesday in southwest Philadelphia.

Police are hoping surveillance video will yield clues but, so far, say they don’t have an identity of the suspect or a motive.

Police arrived to find the man in the driver’s seat of a black 2015 Toyota Camry, which was parked but had the engine running.

The victim was pronounced dead at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
