FREEMAN TOWNSHIP, Maine (AP) - Police say a New Vineyard, Maine, doctor is dead after his car veered off state Route 145 in Freeman Township and crashed into several large trees.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says 67-year-old Cameron Bopp was thrown from his car Tuesday morning and died instantly.
Bopp had been driving north when he went down a hill. Authorities say he appears to have been travelling at a high speed.
The car drifted to the side of the road and hit several trees, ripping it apart. No one else was in the car.
