BELLEFONTE, Pa. (AP) - A man who admitted to dumping the body of a female houseguest along the side of a road on Valentine’s Day after she overdosed inside his Pennsylvania home has been sentenced to probation.

The Centre County District Attorney’s office says 60-year-old Robert Moir was sentenced Tuesday to two years’ probation.

Moir told police that he found 35-year-old Corinne Pena dead on his bathroom floor late on Feb. 13.

He wrapped the body in a sheet, loaded it into his Mercedes and dumped it along the side of a road early the next morning.

He told police he thought it would be quickly found and wouldn’t decompose because of low temperatures.

Moir pleaded guilty to abuse of a corpse in August.

A call seeking comment from his attorney wasn’t returned Tuesday.
