AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - A 43-year-old Austin woman with two previous drunken driving convictions is facing 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of intoxication manslaughter for a 2014 crash that killed two people.

Authorities say Melissa Marshall told police at the scene of the crash in northwest Austin that she had three 8-ounce glasses of wine the previous night in February 2014, but officers said her speech was slurred, eyes glassy and bloodshot and they detected a strong odor of alcohol on her breath.

Killed were 49-year-old James Clopton and 46-year-old Lynn Clopton.

Austin television station KXAN (https://bit.ly/2hFdgdY ) reported Tuesday records show Marshall had previous drunken driving convictions in San Fernando, California, in 2006 and four years later in Las Vegas.

Her formal sentencing is set for next month.
