ISLAMORADA, Fla. (AP) - Monroe County Sheriff’s officials say a 57-year-old man from Tampa died after scuba diving in the Florida Keys.
Spokeswoman Becky Herrin said Monday that Lloyd Beale surfaced from a dive at about 10 a.m. When he tried to climb aboard a dive vessel, he collapsed. Those on the boat pulled him aboard and CPR was performed. When the boat reached shored, Beale was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead.
An autopsy will be done to determine the cause of his death.
