CASCO, Maine (AP) - Police have identified a pedestrian who was killed in a hit-and-run in Maine.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says 56-year-old Lorna Nugent, of Casco, was struck Sunday evening in Casco near the Naples town line.

The sheriff’s office says based on evidence at the scene, authorities believe the vehicle involved was a 2001-2005 Volkswagen Passat with significant front end damage.



The investigation is ongoing.
