PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police have released the names of a driver and passenger killed when their vehicle rear-ended a school bus in northeast Philadelphia over the weekend.
Police said the bus was stopped at a red light at about 9 p.m. Sunday when it was hit by the Mercedes, which then burst into flames. Witnesses tried to put out the fire with extinguishers but were unable to do so.
Police said 32-year-old Ramon Rodriguez-Camacho and 38-year-old Lorraine Rivera were pronounced dead at the scene.
WPVI-TV reported that the bus belongs to the Huntingdon Valley Christian Academy and had dropped off students just minutes before the crash.
