MIDDLESEX, Vt. (AP) - Officials say a fire that destroyed a home in Middlesex, Vermont, was caused by improperly disposed of ashes from a woodstove.

The fire broke out early Monday.

WCAX-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2h3fvXB ) it started in a wood shed around 4 a.m. and quickly spread to the house.



The occupants got out of the home safely. No one was injured.
