ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - New York’s Regional Economic Development Council has awarded nearly $27 million to support the growth of agricultural, food and beverage industries.
State officials say 68 agriculture-related projects were identified as key to advancing the state’s ten regional economies.
The projects include $1 million for expansion of Edelweiss Dairy Farm in Cattaraugus County and $1.2 million for hydroponic greenhouses in Ogdensburg in northern New York.
Other projects include a farmer’s market in Olean, a commercial kitchen incubator in downtown Rochester, a craft beverage campus in Warren County and a craft distillery in the Hudson Valley.
