OXNARD, Calif. (AP) - The California Highway Patrol says about 2,000 gallons of diesel fuel spilled into lanes when a tanker truck overturned in Ventura County.

The CHP says the truck driver apparently fell asleep at the wheel before the single-vehicle crash Saturday south of Oxnard. No injuries were reported.

The Ventura County Star newspaper says (https://bit.ly/2hWa66o) the leak was contained and did not threaten any waterways.

Roads were closed for several hours as crews cleared the scene.
