GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Authorities say an 11-year-old girl has died after a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 40 near Greensboro.

WRAL-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2gPy0eY ) that the Greensboro Police Department responded to a crash just before 5 a.m. Sunday. Officials say an SUV driven by 34-year-old Carlton Bannerman ran off the road after a crash with a tractor-trailer driven by 48-year-old Rodney Boyd.

The SUV rolled over multiple times. Officials say an 11-year-old passenger inside died after she was thrown from the vehicle.



Authorities are still investigating the crash.
