FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Some roads and highways in Arizona’s high country remained slick and ice early Saturday due to a Pacific storm’s passage across the state.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said highways were open in the Flagstaff area of northern Arizona and in the Springerville area of eastern Arizona but officials were urging drivers to use caution.

The state Department of Public Safety said troopers responded to seven crashes in the Flagstaff area.

There were several road closures on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon due to downed trees and other hazardous conditions.
