NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Police say the man who pleaded guilty to shooting a former Nashville city councilman has been injured in a shooting.
The Tennessean reports (https://tnne.ws/2gWL0CK ) Brandon Hunt-Clark, 20, was shot Wednesday night in the parking lot of JC’s Bullseye Sports Bar. Another man, 26-year-old Justin Lawton, was killed.
Hunt-Clark told police he was sitting in Lawton’s car on Wednesday night when gunfire erupted but does not remember details because he was drunk.
Hunt-Clark pleaded guilty in August to aggravated assault and was sentenced to three years’ probation for the 2015 shooting of then Nashville City Councilman Loniel Greene. Greene told authorities at the time he had followed a man he recognized down a nearby street and was shot three times. Greene resigned in January, less than five months after taking office.
