CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Outgoing New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan is attending a wreath laying ceremony at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.

The Democrat will make remarks Saturday as part of the Wreaths Across America Ceremony.

Wreaths made in Maine are driven to veterans cemeteries across the country to be laid on gravestones. The wreath laying begins at 10:30 a.m. A ceremony by the Civil Air Patrol and Hassan’s remarks are slated to begin at noon.

A total of 1,200 wreaths will be laid then picked up in mid-January.
