LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - As temperatures begin to plunge, tornado warnings have been issued in Arkansas and Missouri,

The National Weather Service issued the warnings until 5 p.m. Saturday for parts of Woodruff and White counties in Arkansas, about 50 miles northeast of Little Rock and for Clay and Greene counties in northeast Arkansas and Dunklin County in southeast Missouri, about 85 miles north of Memphis, Tennessee.

The weather service said severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes are in both areas.



The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma, has issued a tornado watch until 9 p.m. Saturday for the eastern third of Arkansas, the western half of both Tennessee and Kentucky, southeast Missouri, and portions of northern Mississippi and southern Indiana.
