CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say two people are dead and two others hospitalized after a wrong-way crash on Interstate 10 near Chandler.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the head-on collision occurred about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

They say an SUV was traveling eastbound on the westbound ramp and crashed into a pickup truck.

DPS officials say driver of the SUV and a passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck and a passenger were taken to a hospital and authorities say both men are in critical condition.
