OPINION:
Al Capone and John Gotti must be turning over in their graves. The difference in the their criminal enterprises and the criminal enterprises of “philanthropic” foundations such as the Clinton Foundation is that Capone and Gotti were rank amateurs in hiding their ill-gotten gains.
Hillary Clinton, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates and all the rest of the top ’one percent’ figured out how to avoid paying their fair share while capitalizing on their fortunes, drawing generous salaries and getting tax deductions for contributing — to themselves. They then then have the temerity to say others aren’t paying their fair share. The corrupt tax code is designed to make the rich even richer while seizing, under the estate tax, 45 percent of the property and assets of family-owned farms and businesses with a net worth of more than $5.4 million (money, by the way, that has already been taxed).
These foundations are nothing less than taxpayer-supported slush funds for the wealthy, connected and privileged. And when you’re a free man like I am who files the short form, taking only the standard deduction, you can publicly call out both the IRS and its corrupt politically connected beneficiaries without fear of an IRS audit or retaliation. I owe them nothing, not even my respect.
The entire system is corrupt and “We The People” are the abused victims of it. What time does the revolution start?
