Two people are dead following reports of an active shooter at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.
Authorities received reports of an active shooter around 8:30 a.m. CST Friday and officials who responded to the scene quickly confirmed that they had located victims.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office later confirmed that two people are dead.
The Associated Press is reporting the incident was an apparent murder-suicide. Sheriff’s spokeswoman Rosanne Hughes told Fox News she was unable to confirm the nature of the shooting.
The Sheriff’s office described the scene as “still active.”
