One day after saying she did nothing wrong by using a private email server and personal account to conduct business as secretary of state, Hillary Rodham Clinton reversed herself and said she was “sorry.”
In an interview with ABC News airing Tuesday, Mrs. Clinton called it a “mistake” — something she has said before — but went further in the interview with ABC News David Muir.
“That was a mistake. I’m sorry about that. I take responsibility,” she said.
On Monday, Mrs. Clinton had told the Associated Press in a similar interview that she would not apologize because “what I did was allowed.”
