Despite Hillary Rodham Clinton’s falling poll numbers, President Obama doesn’t think she’s in trouble.
“No, that’s not the president’s view,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Tuesday when asked if Mr. Obama believes Mrs. Clinton’s presidential campaign is faltering.
Mr. Earnest repeated the president’s belief that it would be “unwise” to speculate about the outcome of the presidential election 15 months before it takes place.
Recent polls have shown Mrs. Clinton’s poll numbers sagging while rival Sen. Bernie Sanders, Vermont independent, is surging in surveys.
