Police in Arizona said Friday they have detained two people of interest and taken them in for questioning in connection with 11 shooting incidents that have targeted vehicles on a heavily-traveled stretch of Interstate 10 in Phoenix.

Officers with the state’s Department of Public Safety surrounded a Tahoe vehicle in a parking lot and then took two individuals into custody, ABC News reported.

Authorities are still investigating at least 11 separate shooting incidents along the same 8-mile stretch of I-10, after they confirmed a bullet hole found in the side of a truck that was shot at on Thursday.

Police say it is still unclear whether all of the incidents are related and whether or not they all involve bullets.

Col. Frank Milstead, director of the Arizona Department of Public Safety, called the shootings, which began Aug. 29, acts of “domestic terrorism” during a press conference earlier this week.
