SUITLAND, Md. (AP) — Authorities say a driver was killed when the tractor trailer he was driving fell from a Capital Beltway overpass onto the Suitland Parkway.
Maryland State Police say the driver lost control while driving on the outer loop of the beltway early Friday. The truck carrying paper products crashed through the guardrail and landed on the parkway below.
Prince George’s County Fire & EMS officials say the driver has died. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Eastbound lanes of Suitland Parkway are closed. There are no closures on the beltway, but the outer loop exit ramp to Suitland Parkway is blocked.
