OPINION:
In the current unofficial global war against radical Islam, the Islamic State is demonstrating greater command than its opponents of the use of economic maneuvers in asymmetric warfare. It is doing this while exploiting our fear of “lone wolves,” with the unwitting aid of a gullible liberal media.
Yet those attacks are simply tactical red herrings to distract from the Islamic State’s real strategic aim: the choking economic glut of nearly one million refugees the ’caliphate’ has deftly thrust deep into the bowels of Europe in a matter of mere months.
The world’s well-meaning and naive leadership is going to find out that bombs, bullets and IEDs, while deadly in their immediate employment, are mere physical pinpricks compared to the massive financial gut punches currently being delivered to western national treasuries by the sheer human ’throw weight’ of a million refugees. Closed frontiers and the disruption of rail commerce has already cost the European Union millions of euros.
The extra benefit to the Islamic State’s radically religious hegemony bent on dominating the world is the intentional overlay of a smothering Islamic culture completely unwilling to assimilate into those kind nations. The Muslim refugee ranks are riddled with 18-to-45-year-old men who are simply violent religious dissenters more than willing to commit criminal acts to further their goals in Europe.
