Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Bernard Sanders broke out his best moves as he danced onto the set of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” for an interview that airs Thursday.

Mr. Sanders attempted some John Travolta-style finger pointing moves as strode onto the set to the disco classic “Burn, Baby, Burn!” — an apparent play on the Sanders’ campaign slogan “Feel the Bern.”

“Oh, you came out here dancing, Bernie,” said Ms. DeGeneres after greeting the Vermont senator with a hug. “That’s fantastic. That’s wonders.”

Ms. DeGeneres and her guests almost always dance on the show.

The show with Mr. Sanders was taped Wednesday and set to air Thursday.

An appearance on Ms. DeGeneres’ daytime talk show and making an appeal to her mostly young, female audience has become a rite of passage for Democratic presidential contenders.

Hillary Rodham Clinton, the front-runner for the nomination, was on the show last month.
