One of two women accused of sexually abusing a man by twerking on him and later groping him inside a Northeast D.C. gas station was ordered held without bond Wednesday.
Video from a surveillance camera inside the Shell station on Saturday shows one woman, wearing a short dress and high heels, rubbing her buttocks against the man as he tried to move away.
A second woman, identified in court documents as 22-year-old Ayanna Marie Knight of Las Vegas, is then seen following the man around the store and grabbing his groin.
The man left the store to pump gas, and the women followed him outside, continuing to grope and catcall to him. He eventually pulled his car into the carwash at the gas station, where he called police to report the incident.
Police released the surveillance video this week in an effort to locate the women. A pedestrian on Tuesday alerted police that he had seen the video on TV and directed officers to the location of Ms. Knight. When officers found her, she was in the street at 12th and M streets NW attempting to stop various vehicles, according to court documents.
Police identified the other woman as 23-year-old Marjorie Charles but have not yet located her.
The women are known to D.C. police as prostitutes who “habitually work together” and were even previously arrested together, according to court documents.
Ms. Knight was charged with third-degree sexual abuse. A D.C. Superior Court judge ordered her held without bond during a court appearance Wednesday.
Court records show that Ms. Knight pleaded guilty to a sexual solicitation charge Oct. 20 and three days later was arrested again on a sexual solicitation charge for which she failed to show up to a scheduled court date.
