OPINION:
Pamela Geller, who is president of the American Freedom Defense Initiative, took the leading role in sponsoring the recent exhibit which displayed in a contest caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad. Such caricatures are prohibited in Islam and on several instances radicals of the Islamic faith have murdered those who have created and displayed such depictions. Ms. Geller’s organization has been labeled a “hate group” by the liberal-leaning Southern Poverty Law Center.
But is Ms. Geller’s organization really a hate group or is it just devoted to fighting the violent and intolerant nature of a virulent strain of radical Islam in order to protect America’s constitutional rights (in this case First Amendment free-speech rights) against Islamo-Fascist, radical-Islamic violence and intolerance? America must wake up and smell the sweet aroma of Ms. Geller’s roses in fighting these Islamic extremists who behead, burn, rape and enslave in the name of Allah.
