A California teacher was found hanging inside her classroom on Monday by a colleague and her students.
Jillian Jacobson of Southern California’s El Dorado High School was pronounced dead at the scene. Students who were wondering where their teacher was were eventually let in by another faculty member, said Steve Concialdi of the Orange County Fire Authority, CNN reported Monday.
Jacobson was immediately lowered and 911 was called, but it was too late to prevent her death. Lt. Eric Point with Placentia Police said no foul play is expected, CNN reported.
Students and staff will have crisis counselors made available to discuss the incident.
