Chinese authorities have sentenced a Christian pastor who questioned the removal of crosses in Zhejiang province to one year in jail.
Huang Yizi’s lawyer said by telephone on Tuesday that the pastor was found guilty of disrupting social order, The Associated Press reported.
Chinese officials for the ruling Communist Party took town crosses from roughly 400 rooftops last July. When Mr. Huang gathered parishioners to demand answers, he was taken away by police.
AP reported Tuesday that Mr. Huang was found guilty after a six-hour trial.
