ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County authorities say a teen raped by her ex-boyfriend on a Rockville street died on the way to a hospital for an examination, and the ex-boyfriend is now charged with rape.
According to a court document, the 19-year-old girl and her 16-year-old ex-boyfriend met to see a movie last week. The boy told police that he believed they agreed to have sex during the movie and was upset when his ex-girlfriend didn’t want to. Police say he acknowledged raping her on the street near a courthouse where sheriff’s deputies saw them struggling and intervened.
The court document says she was going to be examined at a hospital but died on the way for unknown reasons.
The Associated Press does not name minors charged with crimes or sexual assault victims.
