BENTONVILLE, Ark. (AP) - The Walton Family Foundation plans to support the development of a private school in Bentonville that will serve students at the middle and high school levels.

The foundation said in a Thursday news release that the school will be headed by Clayton Marsh, who’s currently a deputy dean at Princeton University. The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that he will begin work in January.

A foundation representative says other details about the school, including its name and opening date, have yet to be decided.

Officials say Mr. Marsh will lead all aspects of the private school’s development. A board of trustees will govern the school, which will be a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

The Democrat-Gazette said the school will charge tuition.
