President Obama stopped off in Saudi Arabia Tuesday to pay his respects to the late King Abdullah and to have dinner with his successor, King Salman.
The Saudis supposedly deserve respect since they only play what is known as a “double-game.” Instead of being unabashedly and consistently jihadist in their policy toward this country – like, say, the Iranians – the Saudi royals only wage jihad against us some of the time.
For example, they say the point of their latest oil price manipulation is to destroy the U.S. fracking industry. They fund mosques and front groups that promote Saudi Arabia’s toxic ideology of shariah law and Islamic supremacism. But they do buy weapons from us and allow us to protect their kingdom.
Real friends don’t double game us. And those who do, aren’t real friends.
