The French Laundry in California, one of the world’s most famous restaurants, was robbed Christmas Day of 76 bottles of wine worth roughly $300,000.

Owner Thomas Keller tweeted news of the theft Monday.

“We have complete trust in the authorities leading the investigation & welcome any information our community may have,” Mr. Keller tweeted regarding the crime at the three-starred Michelin establishment.

Included on the list of wines stolen was a bottle of Screaming Eagle, which can cost up to $6,500 per bottle.

“It’s very much like an art heist. These are, at least to my eye, very specifically chosen. If you were to break into a museum you would have to know exactly what you were after,” wine dealer Stefan Blicker told CNN.
