An innovative YouTube user is wowing do-it-yourself fans with his custom made Millennium Falcon drone, which flies through the uploaded video in a scene reminiscent of the “The Empire Strikes Back.”
The drone, which was built with a carbon and aluminum custom frame, zooms around for two minutes with the only drawback being that the craft is “slightly front heavy,” owner Oliver C. says, Mashable reported Wednesday.
News of the creative quadcopter immediately shot to the top of Facebook’s trending news stories Wednesday.
“We’re sure it’s the only drone that can do the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs,” Mashable joked.
The next time Han Solo’s iconic craft will be seen in theaters will be Dec. 18, when J.J. Abrams film “Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens” premieres.
