FREDERICK, Md. — Police and school officials say there has been a shooting at a high school in Maryland, with two reported injuries.
Frederick County Public Schools tweeted that two students were hurt in an incident at Frederick High School. Another tweet said all other staff and students were safe and accounted for.
According to the Frederick News-Post, the two students were taken to Baltimore for medical care, but the injuries are not life-threatening.
According to the News-Post, “police did not release the victims’ names because they are under 18.”
“The shooters, described as four black males dressed in black, are at large, said Officer First Class M. Cox. A SWAT team was searching the area,” the News-Post reported.
The shooting occurred around 8 p.m. outside the gymnasium as a boys’ junior varsity basketball game between Frederick High and visiting Gov. Thomas Johnson High, also located in Frederick, was being played.
